Manufacturing Value Assessment
An independent DFM audit that surfaces real savings across tooling, BOM, and assembly. You only pay if we find something — 20% of verified savings, $0 if we don't.
4 parts — similar volume, same material, non-visual
An MVA is a focused independent review of your design files and BOM. No internal politics, no sunk-cost bias — an objective look at where the money is going and whether it needs to.
We work from your existing CAD and BOM. You don't need to prepare anything beyond sharing the files. A one-page NDA is sent before we open anything. Files are reviewed locally — they don't go to a cloud AI pipeline.
Initial findings come back within 48 hours. The full report itemises every finding, the verified saving, and how it was calculated. You decide what to act on.
The audit covers six cost categories, evaluated against your specific design, volumes, and supply chain — not a generic checklist.
Tooling is usually where the largest single savings are found. BOM and assembly savings are smaller per unit but compound significantly at production volumes. Risk and packaging are often overlooked entirely.
No upfront fee, no retainer. The risk sits with us — if we don't find savings, you don't pay.
Savings are verified against your actual supplier quotes or industry-standard cost benchmarks. Every number in the report is traceable — not an estimate.
The 20% fee applies only to savings you choose to implement. If you act on three of five findings, you pay 20% of those three only.
The MVA works best when you have an existing design — CAD files and a BOM — and are either approaching tooling commitment or reviewing an existing production run for cost reduction.
It's particularly valuable for founders who received their first tooling quote and want an independent check before committing capital. Internal teams can miss savings because they're close to the design. An external audit removes that bias.
If your product is still in early concept, the MVA isn't the right tool yet. Come back when you have CAD.
